Anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing
Easyfy maintains a risk-based approach to anti-money laundering (AML) and anti-terrorist financing (ATF) compliance consistent with applicable Canadian requirements, including obligations arising from its registration as a Money Services Business.
Relevant processes include:
- Identity verification
- Business verification
- Beneficial ownership identification
- Risk assessment
- Sanctions screening
- Politically Exposed Person screening
- Transaction monitoring
- Ongoing customer and merchant review
- Record keeping
- Regulatory reporting where required
Not all of these processes are automated. Certain reviews and assessments are currently performed manually by compliance personnel.

Business relationship due diligence
Easyfy applies risk-based due diligence when establishing and maintaining business relationships. The scope of review may vary according to the nature of the business, jurisdiction, transaction profile and other relevant risk factors.
Business relationships are subject to ongoing review. Easyfy may request additional information or documentation at any point during a relationship, and may decline or discontinue a relationship where risk, regulatory or partner requirements are not met.
